We are looking for two Social Media interns who can do 6-12 month internships. These individuals will assist with our social media marketing efforts by providing relevant content on multiple SM platforms on a regular basis while tracking metrics and monitoring relevant conversations. This intern will help make social media a productive part of our overall marketing efforts, which is done by creating, managing and growing our business presence across social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+. Experience in Social Media management is required for this position.
Use your skills under the supervision of the Marketing and Sales teams to create content & engage followers on social media properties: Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn
Collaborate with cross-functional team to brainstorm, design and implement a full-scale social media campaign.
Find users to follow/friend/like our business
Track the growth and the impact of social media on our business
Reply to comments, messages, etc.
Report findings to the team
Consistently learn and grow
Competencies/Critical Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills
Ability to develop a detailed and professional marketing plan
Knowledge of social media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, etc.
Willingness to create video blogs, write press releases, and Facebook posts daily
Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence
Ability to identify a target market and “speak” to that consumer through social media
Experience proofreading and editing
Ability to contribute individually, and participate in cross-functional teams
